The most notable Church of Misery is a japanese doom metal band with a specific extra-groovy sound that is often described as "stoner doom" but the band tends to snub this term saying "We hate trend. An outer space ride on an interplanetary 70's style chopper from hell while tripping on peyote, wearing corpse paint, a Hell Awaits t-shirt and cupping a bubble butt... shit yeah. No delusions of grandeur. Just making music we dig. This started off as a solo writing/recording project by Zack Kinsey that was never meant to see the light of day.
