Cave
From Chicago, Illinois
First Twin Cities show since since March 27, 2013 • First Belmore show • First headlining show • Third Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since June 26, 2010
From last.fm:
There are more than one artists using the name: 1) Warhammer 48K's Chicago-based side-project Cave debuted with the heavily percussive space-rock of the instrumental EP Hunt Like Devil (Permanent Records, 2008). The ten-minute Hunt Like Devil weds a looped guitar riff inspired by the hard-rock jams of the 1970s, a motorik rhythm a` la Neu and a xylophone melody that could be from a Frank Zappa operetta. The repetition finally yields a ripping space guitar solo. Read more about Cave on Last.fm.
Tal National
From Niamey, Niger
Only Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
Tal National is a band from Niamey, the capital city of Niger, West Africa’s largest nation (and one of the world’s poorest). Although they are hugely popular in their homeland where their music is heavily featured on Niger national TV, they can still be found selling their CDs on roundabouts in Niamey, since the country has no distribution system. Each year they do national tours, travelling 18,000 kilometres throughout Niger, performing shows in over forty cities. Tal National on Last.fm.
