Dear Landlord are a punk rock band from Carbondale, Illinois. The Brokedowns

From last.fm:
A while back, I was sitting at the bar of the now-defunct bottom lounge with a buddy of mine. We went for operation: cliff clavin, who were on some kind of reunion stint, but overheard the brokedowns well enough to get off our asses at the bar and take a look at these guys. After most of the chicago punk rock bands I liked went away around 2001-2003, I suppose it was a matter of time that a group like this would start, sounding like 1996-99 to me. There are two bands called The Slow Death. 1) The Slow Death is a melodic death doom metal band from Blue Mountains, Australia with both male and female vocals, formed by Stuart Prickett (mastermind of Elysium and Stone Wings) in 2007. Their style is ultra slow death/doom with melodic riffs, powerful deep growls, grandiose female vocals and tragical lyrics. The atmosphere is mournful and dark. The guitars are magnificent with perfect riffs, amazing melodies and rhythm changes. The melodies are melancholic passages of perpetual depression. Read more about The Slow Death on Last.fm.
