From last.fm:

AMERICAN YOUTH is the culmination of friends from across the country joining together to create music that ignites the soul. As musicians and songwriters, AY brings forth folky overtones and vocal prowess while still never letting the energy and raw emotion out of sight. American Youth has had songs featured on MTV's "Real World" and E!'s "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and has toured the country, playing SXSW and Chicago's House Of Blues. They have also opened up for The Spill Canvas, The Almost, Abandon Kansas, Rooney, Relient K, Hanson, Lissie, John Mark McMillan, and WALK THE MOON. Read more about American Youth on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

Two bands with the same name. 1) Many of the tracks listed here are errors, as audio production software Nuendo and Cubase automatically tag the mp3 exports as The Author - The Title as default. Hence unnamed mp3s are tagged as such. However, The Author is a band from Brisbane, Australia. Formed in late 2009 by Joel Birch of The Amity Affliction, also featuring members of SKYWAY! and Headaches. http://www.myspace.com/theauthorhardcore Read more about The Author on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

Pat Dougherty began writing songs in a borrowed storage closet. Tinkering with only a borrowed drum set and an old organ, he would periodically emerge to share the works in progress to handful of close friends that would later become Fairfax, AK. After spending the summer performing around the Midwest, the group retreated to an attic in a worn, yellow house in Frogtown and began crafting their upcoming debut album, Love Stories and Picture Shows.
