From last.fm:
Carving out a space somewhere in the middle of garage-punk snarl, shoegaze haze, and Krautrock grooves, Chicago’s Disappears features Brian Case (also of the Ponys and 90 Day Men), Boas members Graeme Gibson and Jonathan van Herik, and Damon Carruesco. The band started when Case’s other groups were on hiatus and he was recording demos with Gibson; Gibson brought van Herik into the project, and in turn, van Herik brought Carruesco into the fold. Weekend
From Brooklyn, New York
First Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
At least seven bands have used this name, although all but one are very recent: 1. Weekend is a punk/shoegaze/psychedelic band from San Francisco, CA. Their debut 10" was released on Mexican Summer records in December 2009 to favorable reviews. No Pain in Pop – “Stunning, doomed, darkness…” Fader Magazine – “…what happens if No Age traded in good vibes and instead got real angry from the depths of a muffled cavern. It’s about four minutes of build up, windy moans and plodding drums giving way to a balls to the wall freakout as the whole song collapses on itself.” Read more about Weekend on Last.fm.
