Truth & Salvage Co. are a six-piece roots rock/Americana band from Los Angeles, California. The band formed in late 2005 when members from Scrappy Hamilton and Old Pike, two simultaneously-performing Los Angeles acts, merged and began performing under their current moniker. The band gained national attention in 2009, when Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson signed the group to his Silver Arrow label and gave them the opening slot on his band's tour that year. William Within are an indie folk/electric folk quintet based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Originally a solo project of Alex Simpson, they formed as a band in 2011 and began rehearsing songs featured on his solo album "For Your Nostalgic Pleasure". In September 2012 they released their self-titled full-length album featuring two songs from Alex's solo album ("Gone For A Drive" and "Union Pacific Boxcar") and eight other new compositions. Laura Veirs (born Laura Pauline Veirs on 24 October 1973 in Colorado Springs, Colorado) is an American singer-songwriter. Veirs was raised in Colorado, studied geology and Mandarin Chinese at Carleton College, worked as a translator for a geological expedition in China, and now lives in Portland, Oregon. Veirs has said that she didn't seriously listen to music until she was in her 20s; instead, she just heard what was in her environment.
