The Cloak Ox
From Minneapolis
First show since since February 23, 2011 • First Entry show • First headlining show • Fourth show on MN Live's calendar since January 13, 2011
From last.fm:
The Cloak Ox is made of four staunch music-making Midwestern men. They are Andrew Broder, Jeremy Ylvisaker, Mark Erickson and Martin Dosh and their names may be familiar. Of course, they may not be. They hail from Minneapolis, MN, and have been friends for many years, playing a lot—a lot—of music together and apart. They have started bands, quit bands, restarted bands, played in others' bands, inspired other people's bands that became very successful, and even sometimes joined those bands after the fact. Southeast Engine
From Athens, United States
First Twin Cities show since since June 26, 2010 • First Entry show
From last.fm:
Southeast Engine was formed in 2000 by Adam "Rem" Remnant (lead vocals, guitar) and Leo DeLuca (drum kit, percussion). Both attended the same high school in Dayton, Ohio and grew up in "The Gem City" during its musical heyday of the 1990s. Underground bands like Guided By Voices, Brainiac, and Swearing At Motorists made significant and long-standing impressions upon the two youngsters. Around 2000, the pair moved to Athens, Ohio and were equally inspired by the Appalachian old-timey and folk music of the area. Read more about Southeast Engine on Last.fm.
