tenspeedmusic.com ten-speed (also known as Ten Speed and ten-speed music) have been known to describe themselves as functional nostalgia in song-like vehicles. Their music hints at folks like Guided By Voices and Nuetral Milk Hotel combined with a sort of punk rock ethic and early Dischord influences. ten-speed had their start in Chicago, Illinois in 2006, by songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Isaac Pierce and percussionist Nick Alvarez, with the addition of Mike Thompson(bass) (Relative, Discontinuity, Eyesnine) in 2008.
