The Deer Tracks is David Lehnberg & Elin Lindfors, both children of Gävle, Sweden. Despite their earlier success with respective projects (Leiah, Ariel Kill Him & Twiggy Frostbite), all roads led them into this electromagnetic mist of melodies. And so, around the shift of 2006/2007, they met to shape electro landscapes just as sparkling as the rime that sheeted the long and hard winter nights. Now streaming from this coalition is the tender sadness of the north, coated in its northern lights. Electrifying vibrations meets a gentle forest, where tracks of magic leaves shaped patterns. There are at least two bands called Gloss. 1) Gloss were a Liverpool-based indie-pop band that released one album in 2001. The group's multi-national line-up included Paul Cavanagh (guitar), Martin Lynch (bass), Paul Maguire (drums), Jonas Theis (keyboards) and Heidrun Anna (vocals). They wrote and recorded songs that are timeless pop - rich in melody and drawn from influences such as The Beach Boys, Burt Bacharach, Television, Stereolab, Barry White, Carole King, Blondie, Françoise Hardy, Air and Madonna. Magic Wands are a girl/guy duo formed by Chris and Dexy Valentine. They met in Hollywood in 2007 outside a gig while Chris was visiting Los Angeles from Nashville,Tennessee. A year later they re-connected when Chris found a song online by Dexy called "Teenage Love" they spent the entire summer 2000 miles apart staying up late on the phone and writing music together. The name of the band stems from the gift of a magic wand from Chris to Dexy while the two were living on opposite sides of the country. Read more about Magic Wands on Last.fm.
