Airiel began as a solo project by Jeremy Wrenn in Bloomington, Indiana, in 1997. For a few years, Airiel was a duo: Wrenn on guitar, Sean Delaney on bass and a drum machine. Wrenn then relocated to Chicago and brought in Cory Osborne (bass) and John Rungger (drums), followed by Chris De Brizzio (guitar). Reviving and trandescending influential bands of a long lost genre, Brief candles has been making dreamy blissrock for almost 10 years. In 2010, They plan on releasing their 3rd full length record. Barely out of their teens, Panther Ray's Joey Johnson, Evan Kramer, Daniel Ries, and Andy Rockwood are childhood friends floating in place in time where the weird underground recording geniuses of the 60s and the 90s share a meal. Apparently that place is somewhere in the outer limits of their hometown of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Instruments and vocal mics trade hands regularly as the four multi-instrumentalists celebrate a poly amorous cacophony of junk psychedelia, youth-powered garage rock, exuberant pop weirdness, and experimental studio wizardry.
