The Chord and the fawn was formed almost by accident when a melody sprung upon the mind of singer and ukulele player Dani Lewis while she was mowing her lawn. From there, the rest of the would be band was only a phone call away: she called up her cousin, multi-instrumentalist Angie Krube, and the Chord and the Fawn was born. Winterset were a London based band formed around the musical genius of Martin Smith. Despite rave live reviews they never received the acclaim they deserved and after 2 tracks on a compilation CD they ceased to exist. Marin also worked with Martin Rossiter (Gene) and members of the Boo Radleys but now is a sad old git dreaming about what could have been, Syd Barret like Winterset on Last.fm.
