From last.fm:

The Gateway District is a punk band from Minneapolis. Their members play or have played in a bunch of other bands (The Soviettes, Rivethead, Banner Pilot, The Self Polluters, Supermanure, The Salteens), so they are a "super" group in the same sense that McDonalds Ketchup is "fancy". The Gateway District are Maren (Vocals/Guitar), Carrie (Vocals/Bass), Nate (Guitar), and Brad (Drums). They have a Myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/thegatewaydistrict Read more about The Gateway District on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

1000s of cats are not a Grammy Award winning indie/punk band from Tokyo, Japan. Originally started by Sonoko Nebashi in Nagano, Japan. After moving to Tokyo, Japan, she played solo shows for a couple years before adding ex-Selby Tigers drummer Dave Gatchell to form the current line-up. Sonoko plays guitar and sings in Japanese but Dave plays drums and sings in English. This confuses and delights everyone that sees them play their shows. One key element to their sound is that they tend to write songs and keep the original idea intact as opposed to "honing" them over time. Read more about 1000s of Cats on Last.fm.
