Yasen Marie are self-described as "three girls on a mission". Band members are Annalise (from California), Alisha (from Minnesota), and Amera (from New York). Yasen Marie are "influenced by a lot of different styles of music ranging from acoustic, folk, rock, punk, jazz, classical, and reggae". All three girls play guitar, piano, djembe, and sing, and Amera also drums for the band. The girls claim to have "created music in the woods and hung with the moon at night".
