Iowa City, Iowa's Summer 2009 is what the Zonk refers to, though the songs were recorded slightly earlier than that and composed slightly earlier still, but only slightly. Patrick Larkin lives objectively and makes hashbrowns in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but reminds us through song that life is not defined by political borders (though in reality it probably does know borders).
