Ernest Rhodes was born and raised in Springfield, IL. Though his parents (who are both musicians outside of their careers) made him take piano, trumpet and drum lessons, they expected him to become a lawyer. His father is an attorney and his mother is a paralegal. Having developed a deep love for music and Hip Hop as small child, Ernest started writing rhymes in sixth grade.
